Ask around any Irish estate about composite doors and one name comes up more than any other: Palladio. We have fitted them across Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow for years — alongside APEER, the other composite brand we supply — and homeowners regularly arrive at the survey already knowing they want “a Palladio door”. Here is what the door actually is, what the range looks like, and honest 2026 prices.
The short answer: Palladio is an Irish-made composite door — designed and manufactured in Limerick — with a GRP skin over a solid core, built for Irish weather. Prices run from €1,800 + VAT fitted, typically €1,800–€2,400 with most style and colour choices. Security is PAS 24 multi-point locking with anti-snap cylinders, energy ratings hit U-values from 0.8 W/m²K, the SEAI grant pays up to €800 per door, and the door carries a 12-year guarantee. Fitted in one day by our own team.
What is a Palladio door?
A Palladio door is a composite front door: a tough GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) skin bonded over a solid engineered core, giving you the look and weight of timber without the warping, cracking or repainting that real wood demands in the Irish climate. What sets Palladio apart in this market is that it is designed and manufactured in Limerick — the skins, seals, thresholds and glazing cassettes are engineered around driving rain, coastal salt air and year-round damp rather than a continental climate. That is a large part of why it has become the default premium door on Irish estates, and why we are happy to stake our own 2-year workmanship guarantee on every one we fit.
Palladio vs APEER — which we fit and why
We supply and fit both Palladio and APEER composite doors, and we quote both. Both are A-rated, PAS 24-secured composite doors with 12-year guarantees — the honest difference is in the style ranges and finishes. Palladio's collection leans into deep-grain timber effects and a wide colour palette; APEER offers a slightly different set of panel designs and glazing options. On a survey we bring samples of both, and most customers choose on the specific style they fall for rather than the badge. Either way the price band is the same and the fitting standard is identical. The range: styles, colours and 2026 prices
The Palladio collection spans solid and glazed entrance doors, with optional sidelights and top-lights for brighter hallways. Colours run to 20+ choices — anthracite grey, Chartwell green, deep reds and blues, black, cream, and oak or rosewood woodgrain foils — with a white interior available on any of them. Our real 2026 fitted prices:
| Palladio door setup | Typical fitted price (ex VAT) |
|---|---|
| Solid panel door, standard colour | From €1,800 |
| Glazed door (decorative glass panels) | €1,900–€2,200 |
| Premium styles, woodgrain foil or dual colour | €2,000–€2,400 |
| Matching sidelight (per side) | +€300–€500 |
Every price includes supply, fitting by our own employed team, removal and disposal of your old door, and making good the reveals. Manufacturing lead time is 4–6 weeks (each door is built to order) and installation takes a single day. See the full range on our composite doors page.

Security and energy ratings
Every Palladio door we fit carries PAS 24-certified multi-point hook-bolt locking with anti-snap TS 007 3-star cylinders — the standard insurance companies ask for. On energy, the solid core and compression seals reach U-values from 0.8 W/m²K, comfortably A-rated, which is what unlocks the SEAI door grant of €800 per door (maximum two) on qualifying pre-2011 homes — full amounts in our SEAI grant guide. The door itself carries a 12-year manufacturer guarantee on top of our 2-year workmanship cover.
The bottom line
Palladio earns its reputation: Irish-made, genuinely weather-proof, secure and maintenance-free, at €1,800–€2,400 + VAT fitted with €800 back on qualifying homes.
