For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, Airtight Window Systems Ltd is the Data Controller for any personal data collected through this website.

When you interact with our website we may collect:

• Identity & contact data — name, phone number, email address, and home address or Eircode, submitted via our quote forms.
• Project data — the product you’re interested in (windows / doors / etc.), urgency, and any notes you choose to share.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device, operating system, referring URL, time on page. Used in aggregate to maintain and improve the site.
• Marketing data — if you consent to marketing cookies, we record which advertising source brought you to the site and which calls/forms convert.

We do not take payment online and we do not collect financial information through the site. Payment for installations happens on site, after work is complete, by bank transfer or cheque directly with our office.

We use the information you provide for the following purposes:

• To respond to your quote request — survey, quote, and follow-up communication about your specific project.
• To carry out work you have agreed to — including supplying documentation you need for the SEAI grant application (we provide our SEAI registration number, U-value spec and invoice; you submit the application to SEAI).
• To improve our website and service — aggregate, non-identifying analytics on page performance.
• To run our advertising — with your consent, we measure which Google Ads campaigns drive enquiries so we can spend our budget effectively.

The legal bases we rely on are: consent (where required, e.g. for analytics and marketing cookies and email marketing), performance of a contract (when you’ve engaged us for installation), and legitimate interest (responding to your enquiry, fraud prevention, basic site security).

Our cookie banner asks for explicit consent before any non-essential cookies are set. We use 4 cookie categories: Necessary, Functional, Analytics, and Marketing. Necessary cookies always run (without them the site doesn’t work); the other three require your opt-in.

You can change your cookie preferences any time by clicking the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer.

The third-party tools listed in the table below run via Google Tag Manager (GTM container GTM-KZWPG3M) and only fire if you’ve granted the relevant consent category.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Limited data is shared with these data processors, each of whom processes it on our behalf under a written contract:

• Cloudflare (US/EU) — hosts the website, serves bot protection (Turnstile) on forms, delivers content via global CDN.
• Google Ireland Ltd — Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking (with your consent).
• Microsoft Ireland — Microsoft Clarity heatmap analytics (with your consent).
• Nimbata — call-tracking platform for matching inbound calls to marketing sources (with your consent).
• Anychat / arcontactus — powers the chat widget (with your consent).
• Fraudblocker — click-fraud detection on our Google Ads (with your consent).
• Plunk — transactional email delivery (lead notifications and quote confirmations).
• Reviews Guru / EMR Pixel — displays our Google reviews on our testimonials page (no personal data of yours sent).

We may also disclose data where required by law (e.g. a court order or regulatory request) or to protect our legal rights.

We hold your enquiry and quote data for as long as is needed to provide our service and meet legal obligations:

• Quote enquiries that don’t convert: 24 months (so we can answer follow-ups, send relevant news if you opted in)
• Installations completed: 7 years from completion (statutory tax and warranty records)
• Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe, plus 6 months to honour your unsubscribe

You have the following rights over your personal data:

• Right of access — ask us what we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — correct anything inaccurate.
• Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data, subject to legal record-keeping obligations.
• Right to restrict processing — pause our use of your data in certain circumstances.
• Right to data portability — request a copy in a machine-readable format.
• Right to object — particularly to direct marketing.
• Right to withdraw consent — for any processing based on your consent.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data — HTTPS encryption sitewide (HSTS preloaded), Cloudflare DDoS protection, Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam form submissions, anti-snap email and short retention windows. Only the Airtight Window Systems Ltd team based at our Dublin 12 office handles your enquiries.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the tools we use, or in the law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged in the cookie banner the next time you visit.
